To evaluate the demographics, characteristics and visual outcomes of OGI in children. The demographics, laterality, aetiology and zone of injury, primary and secondary operations performed, pre and postoperative BCVA, complications were analysed. Previously all patients were underwent corneal tear repaired with lens aspirations with or without vitrectomy for OGI. Out of 49, 37 males and 12 females. Mean age of presentation was 6years. 74% had improvement of VA compared with preoperative VA. Final VA was less than 20/200 in 9(14.5%) cases, 20/200-20/60 in 21(33%) cases, and 20/40 or better in 33(52.5%) cases. There was clear visual axis in all patients except 5 patients developed PCO, minimal pigmentation over IOL in 10 cases. IOP was increased in 2 cases after surgery. IOL remain well centred till last follow up except 2 cases. Good visual outcomes are depending on the location and severity of the OGI with prompt surgical treatment and aggressive management of amblyopia.
