PURPOSE;To evaluate the demographic profile, clinical presentation and tomographic features of Reticular pseudodrusens (RPD). METHODS:All patients who presented to the AMD clinic during an 1 yr period were analysed for the presence of RPD. According to the distribution, RPD was classified as localised, intermediate or diffuse. Morphologically RPD was classified as discrete, branching or confluent. The OCT,AF,Infrared features and presence of associated late AMD features were studied. RESULTS:The mean age was 70.5 yrs. The distribution of RPD was localized(45%), intermediate(40%) and diffuse(20%). Discrete, confluent, branching and mixed patterns were found in 30%, 5%, 17.5% and 47.5% eyes. Prevalence of CNVM was 17.5% and geographic atrophy 10% in these eyes. CONCLUSION; RPD is not an uncommon entity in our practice and may coexist with typical AMD. These eyes have distinctive morphological and imaging characteristics and have a high association of CNVM/ geographic atrophy.
