This video presents the surgical technique for the correction of telecanthus and epicanthus inversus in patients with Blepharophimosis Syndrome. The surgical technique comprises use of Y-V plasty and trans-nasal wiring through moderately large bony windows prepared in the lacrimal fossa. A trans-nasal 24 G stainless steel wire is passed through the medial canthal tendon by the author’s technique using a bent hypodermic needle which obviates the need for swaged wires. The trans-nasal wiring is carried out using a Fascia Lata needle. Trans-nasal wiring provides lasting correction of telecanthus with deep natural looking placement of medial canthus . Video brings out the finer points in creation of the bony opening which prevents epiphora and provides gratifyimg results.
