Thirty years old healthy male presented with complaints of headaches, vertigo, right ear pain with tinnitus and mild vision blurriness. He was afebrile and had no history of any systemic disease. He was not on any medications.
His vision recorded was 6/6p OU with mild myopic correction. The slit lamp examination, IOP & color vision test was normal. Goldmann perimeter examination showed enlarged blind spot & arcuate scotoma OU.
Fundus examination & FFA revealed severe Papilledema OU.
MRI & MRA examinations revealed Thrombosis of right Transverse & Sigmoid sinuses. His blood & urine biochemistry examination was normal. He was treated & discharged in stable condition with medications.
We have diagnosed and managed three more cases of Cerebral Venous Thrombosis at our hospital. We will discuss the differential diagnosis and management of this special entity associated with Papilledema.
