After excision,1 mm thin strip of CLAG of 2 clock hrs harvested superotemporally & placed in area of pterygium excision. Eye bandaged for 24 hrs treated postoperatively with steroid- antibiotic drops & 1%CMC drops. Patients followed on 1,3,7 post op days, then at 1,3&6 months.
Results:2 patients had recurrence after 2 months, 3 had graft edema , 2graft hemorrhage which subsided subsequently& no graft loss.
Conclusion:small CLAG of 1mm width which includes rhyteds of stem cells are enough to prevent pterygium recurrence.
