‘Mobile blast’ is the word you can hear everywhere in India from home to office. Reports are coming from many places of mobile phones suddenly exploding causing disastrous consequences on the patient. We report a case of young adult female suffering from eye injuries due to mobile blast.
Case report
We report a case of 17 years old female presented with a history of mobile blast injures one day back. She told us that she had charged her mobile. But mobile became so hot so she thought that if she opened it then it became cool. But when she opened her mobile there was a blast explosion. The explosion affected her eyes the most and the battery was allegedly found in pieces while the cell phone itself was mangled, post the explosion. On ocular examination her vision was 6/6in both eyes. Superficial burn marks found on both lids of right eye .Anterior segment was normal in both eyes. Fundus was within normal limit. She had given antibiotic steroid ointment for topical application.
