METHOD-Prospective interventional study carried out in hospital for 1 year duration where children up to 15 years with history of ocular trauma were included.age and sex,activity at time of injury,identifiable objects causing injury were noted with follow up period of 3 monthRESULTS:here total 30 eyes were enrolled.Age group more affected was 5 years and above (25 patients).Boys94%were affected more than girls(6%).Most of the patients belong to rural area.closed globe injuries were seen in 66% while open globe injuries were seen in only 24%.objects causing injury were blunt objects40%projectile object34% household objects14% chemicals10% and RTA2%.BCVA of >6/60 was achieved in 56% cases.30% patient had BCVA of <6/60-CFCF.playground common site.CONCLUSION-age group affected was 5 years and above.Boys were affected more than girls. Blunt objects, projectile objects and household objects were common causes of injury.Most of the children achieved best corrected visual acuity more than 6/18
