Posterior polar cataracts pose a significant challenge for even the most experienced surgeons. We describe through a series of videos, basic as well as advanced techniques for making every posterior polar cataract surgery safe and more predictable. The videos will focus on morphology of cataract, anaesthesia, incisions, rrhexis size, a novel hydro delineation technique, Phaco emulsification & aspiration techniques and various methods of IOL placement. We will also discuss ways to manage posterior capsular rupture and nucleus drop to achieve very good post-op visual results and minimise complications.
