Reporting a 3 case series of post typhoid fever immune related ocular manifestations
CASE 1:A 33yr female came with blurring of vision, watering & photophobia in BE for2days, 4 weeks after the diagnosis of typhoid. She was diagnosed as BE Keratouveitis.
CASE 2:A 69yr male presented to the OPD with sudden painless blurring of vision in the RE for past 3days.He had history of typhoid fever 1 month ago, for which he was treated. He was diagnosed with RE Vasculitis, Retinitis & CME & LE Retinitis & Vasculitis.
CASE3 :A 23yr female presented with 15 days history of fever,headache,nausea &abdominal pain & diplopia. She had BE papilledema. Prompt diagnosis & early management with IV antibiotics resulted in resolution of symptoms and drastic improvement.
Conclusions: Post typhoid fever immune-mediated ocular complications present variously.The combination of a good history, prompt investigations & high index of suspicion will facilitate early diagnosis & reduce morbidity.
