A 55-year-old man presented with decreased vision in the left eye. On ophthalmologic examination, the left eye vision was no perception of light, with conjunctival and ciliary congestion and slitlamp examination showed hazy cornea and shallow anterior chamber, complicated cataract and posterior segment no view. The IOP was normal. Systemic examination was normal.
USG B-scan shows irregular nodular mass in region of the ciliary body and choroid. Enucleation of the left eye was performed with the patient’s consent. Pathologically, gross examination revealed the 26*34*25mm enucleated globe. Microscopic examination shows ciliochoroidal melanoma with mixed cell type containing predominantly epithelioid cells with spindle B cells interspersed. The tumor invaded the entire thickness of the sclera and adjacent orbital tissue.
RESULTS:-At the 3 month follow up of this patient, there was no evidence of any local metastatsis. The right eye, showed no evidence of any similar pathology.
