Aim : To evaluate clinical features, pathology, treatment and outcomes of patients with orbital adnexal lymphoma.
Method : Retrospective analysis of 12 patients diagnosed with orbital adnexal lymphomas over past 2 years. All patients were biopsied after radiological evaluation and were treated with chemotherapy.
Results : Of 12 Cases, 7 males and 5 females. Median age was 55 years. Mean duration of symptoms:3.3±2.5months. 11 Cases NHL-B cell type and 1 orbital MALToma. Stage IAE disease 50%, 25% stage IIAE and 25% stage 4. 7 (58.3%) attained remission with 4-6 cycles, 3(25%) had recurrence and 2 are still on treatment. One had radiotherapy for leptomeningeal spread. 2 had Vincristine-induced peripheral neuropathy and 1 Adriamycin-induced cardiomyopathy. No statistically significant association was seen between location(p=0.5) or staging of the tumor(p=0.6) and treatment outcome.
Conclusion : Chemotherapy with CHOP/COP remains a viable option for patients with orbital adnexal lymphomas.
