Infection with the protozoan Toxoplasma gondii is one of the most frequent parasitic infections worldwide and the common infection of retina in the general population, are mostly subclinical. Hence to highlight this potentially blinding disease, which may escape detection and to emphasize its preventive measures so as to prevent the visual disability arising from it, we describe a Case report of an 11 years old child with best corrected vision in the both eyes is 6/36 noticed during an eye screening program. Fundus examination revealed a well-defined pigmented scars on the macula of both eyes with small peripheral pigmented scars. The OCT findings confirmed inactive macular lesions compatible with ocular toxoplasmosis, supported by Positive serology. This Case highlights the importance of considering Toxoplasma gondii as a possible cause of chorioretinitis in children living in developed/developing countries.
