A 55 year male with central fungal corneal ulcer involving 1/3rd of stroma left eye, vision in left eye FC at 1m, right eye 6/6,unresponsive to topical antifungal for 3weeks was treated with intrastromal Voriconazole injection 50 micrograms/0.1ml. Showed clinical improvement and reduction in corneal infiltration from day 3. Post therapy vision of left eye was 6/60.Hence targeted delivery of intrastromal Voriconazole injection may be an effective method to treat deep seated recalcitrant fungal corneal ulcer responding poorly to conventional treatment.
