Aim-presenting clinical features,surgical complications during surgical procedure adopted in delayed presentation of NEGLECTED TRAUMATIC CATARACTS.
Method- Interventional Video based case series from a tertiary tribal eye care centre showing pre-& post-operative details & surgical aspects in neglected TRAUMATIC cataracts.TRAUMATIC cataract presents with various morphology in remote areas due to unawareness& delayed presentation. Such cataracts undergo degenerative changes in lens. Management of such neglected cataracts remains a challenge, CO MORBIDITIES ALSO POSES extra challenge. In this video, we discuss various clinical presentation, surgical procedure by anterior and posterior approach, main emphasis on challenges faced &tackling such complication during surgery.
Conclusion: Though Surgery for cataracts with delayed presentation put some challenges, but helps to regain functional vision.
