This instruction course deals with genesis , management and prevention of complications that have occurred during different stages of phaco procedure. It deals with different problems during capsulorrhexis like runaway rhexis , torn rhexis, rhexis in fibrotic anterior capsule, rhexis tear during forceful hudrodissection.It demonstrates management of intraoperative miosis and iris prolapse. It also shows posterior capsular rent that occurs during nucleus removal, cortical aspiration, zonular dialysis of different sizes, their recognition and management. It demonstrates when and how to convert to a more safer small incision cataract surgery in problem situations where continuing phaco is risky. It covers how to perform good anterior vitrectomy & pars plana vitrectomy by an anterior segment surgeon.
