Dr.Harsh Kumar
Sitting in remote areas and even in metro cities with very few sophisticated instrumentation with them the practitioners at large are always perplexed how to manage glaucoma. This course is designed to give them the confidence to manage the basic aspects along with certain difficult situations which they encounter quite often.
The course will encourage a general practitioner to get more involved in detecting, managing and even referring when appropriate a case of glaucoma. Though most doctors do manage to do the basic medical management yet the sharpness to detect glaucoma at early stages has not picked up enough resulting in the loads of advanced cases flooding the tertiary centres.
We therefore also stress on how to detect early despite not having the state of art instrumentation. Also highlighted are the difficult yet commonly encountered situations. Adequate time is kept for discussion.
