Dr.DEBASIS CHAKRABARTI
This instruction course will cover the entire spectrum of commonly performed glaucoma surgeries and combined cataract and glaucoma surgeries. Aided by illustrative surgical videos, there will be step-by-step demonstration of the surgical technique of trabeculectomy (fornix-based and limbal-based), trabeculectomy with Ologen, phaco-trabeculectomy, SICS-trabeculectomy, Ex-press shunt, Ahmed glaucoma valve, AADI (Aurolab Aqueous Drainage Implant) and bleb needling. Pediatric glaucoma surgeries – trabeculotomy and trabeculectomy and pediatric glaucoma implants will also be demonstrated. The focus will be to highlight the surgical pearls of each surgical technique and to share the tips and tricks of experienced glaucoma surgeons to optimize outcomes and minimize complications in glaucoma and combined cataract-glaucoma surgeries.
