Dr.Suneetha
Optic nerve disorders have a potential for development of severe visual loss and may be harbinger of serious systemic diseases. Early diagnosis and institutions of appropriate treatment will help to mitigate complications. Commonly used tests include MRI/CT of Brain and Optic nerve along with VEP. B-scan USG and OCT are important imaging techniques in the diagnosis and follow-up of papilledema; however they are underutilised for this purpose. Moreover OCT has been increasingly used in the follow-up of multiple neurological disorders. The focus of this Instruction course will be on diagnostic imaging’s used in optic nerve disorders. Very brief didactic sessions will be followed by drills where participants will actively interpret diagnostic images projected.
