Dr.Reema Bansal
Uveitis poses a significant challenge in terms of both diagnosis and management. Often these patients are subjected to a battery of laboratory tests, overlooking important clinical clues. The sight-threatening nature of uveitis motivates the treating physician to administer a prompt empirical therapy that may at times be catastrophic, especially in infectious uveitis. Poor response to conventional therapy or an atypical presentation should alert us regarding masquerade syndromes. Through this course, uveitis experts aim to provide clinical pearls and key teaching points to the comprehensive ophthalmologists by showing clinical examples so that the diagnosis is made simple. Also, the course will highlight the significance of ocular signs that may serve as a window to an unknown underlying systemic disorder. The case presentations will be followed by a panel discussion with audience participation.
