Purpose: Determining time required for graft thickness to stabilize after penetrating keratoplasty(PK) & thickness profile difference between therapeutic & optical PK. Methods:Patients undergoing PK (optical & therapeutic) underwent ASOCT on Days 1, 7, 30 & 60. Graft thickness measured by ASOCT in central & 4 cardinal graft host junction. Mean graft thickness was recorded by single optometrist. Results:Total of 31 PK patients,8 (therapeutic) & 23(optical) were included. Change in graft thickness in optical group with time was compared with paired t test with a p value of 0.03 (Day 1 v/s Day 7), 0.01 (day 7 v/s day 30) & 0.87 (day 30 v/s day 60).Maximum correlated decrease was noted in between day 7 & day 30; thereafter no statistically significant change occured. Therapeutic group did not show statistically significant change. Conclusion: Graft thickness after PK changes with time & in optical PK patients it gets stabilized by 1 month but for therapeutic group it is not predictable .
