Here we are going to showcase the patented design and technique of Rana & Shah’s self sustaining scleral tuck IOL. Scleral tuck iol can be implanted in eye without any glue, suture or tunnels. It is simple in design and east to implant with no learning curve. Even a anterior segment surgeon with little bit knowledge of anterior vitrectomy can implant. It can decrease the implantation time from average sfiol time 45 mins to 10 mins in scleral tuck IOL.
Method: we are presenting a video highlighting the Scleral tuck iol design and implantation technique with intra op complication.
Conclusion: scleral tuck IOL can revolutionize the method of secondary implantation with shorter implantation time, no learning curve , hence improving postop results.
