PVR is the most common cause of failure of RD surgery. Even after removal of PVR membranes, if residual contraction of the retina is present, one needs to resort to Retinotomy. However bleeding during retinotomy is a common complication. In this video we present massive intraocular bleeding during retinotomy with vitrector (inspite of previous diathermy). We will demonstrate management of this complication & successful completion of surgery.
