BACKGROUND:
Now a days use of social media is extensive in all levels of social stratification. Incorporating social media in diagnosis of hidden disease like diabetic retinopathy is tremendously utilitarian. By this we can screen large number of patients with ease of patient and doctor both.
Method:
we are presenting a video showcasing use of whatsapp web from fundus camera laptop. We can directly send non-mydriatic fundus images from diabetic center to patients mobile as well as to ophthalmologist for screening and report. Patient can save it for record and doctors can use it for monitoring by saving it on cloud.by this patients doesn’t need to visit ophthalmologist just for screening.
Conclusion:
we recommend use of social media for reporting of screened of patients for diabetic retinopathy. By this we can save time and resources both for doctors as well as patients. This can improve diagnosis, compliance and adherence of patients.
