Purpose: This prospective observational case series was aimed to evaluate the visual outcome and rotational stability of Auroflex Hydrophilic Toric IOL in patients with moderate corneal astigmatism undergoing phacoemulsification.
Materials and method: The study included 30 eyes with regular corneal astigmatism <2.00 diopters (D) who underwent phacoemulsification with implantation of Auroflex Toric IOL (FH560). Over a 1-month follow-up, measured outcomes were UCVA and BCVA, residual astigmatism and IOL rotation. Result: At 1 month, UCVA was 0.0 logMAR (Snellen 6/6) in 86.6% patients. Residual astigmatism (0.067±0.347D) was significantly reduced compared with the preoperative corneal astigmatism (1.724±0.191D). The mean absolute rotation of the IOL was 3.86±5.17°. CONCLUSIONS: Auroflex Toric IOL remains a cost-effective implant for correction of preexisting corneal astigmatism and improving visual performance in patients where affordability is an issue.
