To assess the feasibility of combined pars plana vitrectomy(PPV) & 4-point scleral fixation of foldable Akreos AO60 IOL in post-traumatic dislocated lens. Prospective, interventional case series of 12 eyes of 12 patients. Outcome measures were final best corrected Snellen visual acuity(BCVA), spherical equivalent(SE) & intra & postoperative complications. Follow up was 6 months. Mean age at surgery was 46.4 years. 11 patients were males. Mean BCVA improved from 0.25 preoperatively to 0.67 postoperatively (p<0.0001). Mean SE was 0.73 diopters(D) preoperatively and -0.85D postoperatively, with a mean change of 3.81D. No intraoperative complications occurred; postoperative complications included transient cystoid macular edema in one eye. Pentacam imaging demonstrated a well-centered IOL in 7 eyes after surgery. Thus, combined PPV & scleral fixation of Akreos AO60 IOL is a safe & efficacious procedure for managing post traumatic lens dislocation through a small incision.
