Method and Material: Initial work up with detail history, best corrected visual acuity and intraocular pressure were noted. Amsler grid testing was done.Detailed anterior and posterior segment examination was done.
Baseline optical coherence tomography (OCT) and fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) was done. All the five cases were treated on PRN basis (as and when required) i.e injection was repeated if OCT shows intraretinal edema, subretinal fluid and/or pigment epithelial detachment at a four week interval.All patients received Ranibizumab (0.5mg/0.05ml) taking care all aseptic precautions. Four -week follow-up visit was done for all the patients till six months.
Result: Five cases of CNVM with an average age of 26.4 years. .Three cases were diagnosed with idiopathic CNVM, 1 case of post traumatic CNVM and 1 with bilateral Angioid Streaks with active CNVM in right eye and CNVM scar in the left eye were treated effectively with anti-VEGF therapy.
