Purpose – Uveitis can be seen in various forms and stages of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Presentation as hypopyon or retinopathy are common. In this retrospective report, we present two Cases of CML with rare manifestation of bilateral serous retinal detachment and panuveitis simulating like Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) disease.
Results– The possibility of blast crisis, drug induced manifestations and primary VKH disease was considered in these patients, but none of the investigations were contributory. FFA, USG and OCT featured bilateral serous RD. Both patients were started on intravenous methylprednisolone after clearance from oncologist. Post treatment within 3 months, best-corrected visual acuities improved significantly and the serous RD were completely absorbed in both eyes.
Conclusion – These two Cases illustrates a rare and challenging scenario in which a patient of CML presents with an uncommon VKH like presentation with Panuveitis.
