Purpose:To study types of psychological disorder or traits present in patients with CSCR And effects of treatment .Study of 50 patients with CSCR who underwent psychological evaluation and counselling and therapy .In1st Visit- Visual Acuity testing , Dilated Retinal examination ,
FFA, OCT, psychology reference Psychiatrists recommended Mono therapyClonazepam(0.5mg) or Etizolam(0.25mg-0.5mg) ; Twin therapy- Escitalopram (10mg) was added in a few cases .Lifestyle Modifications advised
Follow up visit- After 2weeks -1 month – Visual Acuity testing OCT and Psychiatric reference and management .Follow up Visit 2nd-6months-1 year-Detailed clinical examination and monitoring at regularintervals .EDI was done for Choroidal thickness which showed evidence of reduction of pachychoroidal thickness in patients post anxiolytic therapy.
The study demonstrated effectiveness of anxiolytics in CSCR management by rapid recovery and reduction in rate of recurrence
