PURPOSE:
This paper describes problems during phaco surgery ,their remedies also
MATERIALS AND METHODS:
A total of 100 patients who underwent bimanual phaco cataract surgery during 6 to 9 months period
The problems faced were :
A-during surgery – premature entry in to anterior chamber , tunnel leak, floppy iris, iris prolapse , injury to iris , incomplete capsulotomy with large capsular tags,small pupil-difficult nucleus trench ,cortical cleanup,IOL placement
B : Postoperative-striate keratitis (Mild , Moderate , Severe ) ,hyphema ,mild uveitis, Shallow AC , Uveitis ( Mild, Moderate , Severe )
RESULTS: Remedies for these problems were suggested through personal experience, By attending various CMEs , Discussion with seniors and collagues , etc
CONCLUSION:good complications management results in good phaco with good postop vision to patient.
