Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery can be performed through an incision of 4 mm to 8mm at a superior, superonasal, superotemporal, or temporal site. The surgically induced astigmatism (SIA) depends on various sclerocorneal incision sizes, shape and site. The incision size and site are chosen according to the patient’s preexisting corneal astigmatism. Neutralizing this preexisting astigmatism by incision planning is a simple, inexpensive way to correct corneal toricity without need for expensive toric IOLs. In this paper we will present our various normograms base on the size and site of the sclerocorneal tunnel to neutralized to pre existing corneal astigmatism.
