Aim: To analyze the ACTIVE FLUIDICS technology
Material & methods: A prospective, nonrandomized, observational study of 110 cases operated during July’16 to February’17 was done. Data was summarized for demographic & preoperative characteristics.
We operated on CENTURION with balanced phacotip with set IOP in uncomplicated, glaucomatous, myopic eyes & cases with semi dilated pupil with same parameters. Set IOP ranging from 40-44 mm of Hg, vacuum from 340-700 mm of Hg & aspiration flow 19-35cc/min. We analyzed intraop metrics & postop outcome.
Observation: ACTIVE FLUIDICS has better control over post occlusion surge even with aggressive setting in any cases. Active fluidics & Intelligent Phaco adds-on to Torsional Power in reducing cataract removal time & CDE.
Conclusion: Set IOP offers a wide range of fluidics options in various types of case. Active fluidics provides stable anterior chamber throughout the operation & gives critical advantage to surgeons of various skill levels.
