Aim: To study morphology of active choroidal neovascularization (CNV) in choroiditis and serial response to anti-VEGF therapy using OCT angiography (OCTA). Methods: Retrospective analysis of OCTA of patients with choroiditis complicated by inflammatory CNV. Results: 10 patients (19 eyes, 3 males, mean age: 46±15 years) were included. 15 eyes showed CNV (fine anastomotic network with loops. Type 1 vessels were seen in 5 eyes (4 patients). 14 eyes received intravitreal ranibizumab (mean 3.07±3 injections) which led to change in morphology of type 1 vessels and reduction in size of type 2 vessels in all eyes. Visual acuity improved from 0.48±0.3 to 0.27±0.2. 1 eye with active type 2 CNV on OCTA with no fluid on OCT followed for 2 months without treatment developed fall in visual acuity and increase in CNV size with subsequent reduction after anti-VEGF therapy. Conclusion: OCTA with multimodal imaging helps in identification of active CNV in choroiditis and guides initiation of therapy.
