Methods: A prospective study on 30 patients having corneal opacity with co- cataract with atleast one pupillary quadrant clear off the opacity, density permitting operative visibility, one eyed, risky for keratoplasty included. SICS /Phaco with IOL was done +/- synechiolysis, iridectomy, vitrectomy & followed on POD 1,7,30 and 90
Results: Age of patients 6-78yrs, 43.3% >60yrs and 73.3% male. Corneal opacity was due to infection in 46.6% while 36.7% post traumatic. Cataract surgery planned as preparatory to keratoplasty in 70% while 30% as primary rehabilitator. SICS done in 83.3%, Phaco 16.7%. Capsulorhexis completed in 83.3%.
