Aim- Categorization of role of CCT in patients of Glaucoma & Glaucoma suspect in regular practice .
Methods -A retrospective study was performed on 152 consecutive patients of Glaucoma & Glaucoma suspect . CCT & GAT measurements were obtained & IOP correction done using linear algorithms ,
Patient grouping done ,depending on IOP adjustment ,
OHT, POAG & NTG grouping & Diabetic & Non diabetic are also noted separately.
Initiation ,Changes or stoppage of medication & alteration of laser therapy or surgery were noted
Results – Among the 152 patients ,Group A- 66 ,Group B -54, Group C -32 patients,
34 had a change in eye drop therapy, 11, a change in the decision regarding laser & or surgery.
49 Diabetic patients ,Average CCT 549.61± 22.92 microns
In NTG group , 38% are having > 21mm , 72% are >18mm Hg
Conclusion – CCT has a significant effect on the clinical management of patients with glaucoma and glaucoma suspect & should be implemented in routine practice .
