We report a case of 24 years female patient, a student who presented with blurred vision in OD since one day. Her best corrected visual acuity OD and OS was 6/12 and 6/6 respectively. Slit lamp examination was within normal limit OU. Fundus shows white dots in the posterior pole, mild disc hyperemia with subfoveal fluid in OD. OS was normal. SD–OCT and FFA confirmed MEWDS in OD .Oral steroids was started 40 mg/day. After 10 days of steroids Subfoveal fluid reduced in OD. Steroid was tapered and stopped after 20 days. After 3 days of stopping steroids same fundus lesion was seen in OS. There was complete disappearance of subfoveal fluid with visual improvement OU after 10 days.
CONCLUSION
Subfoveal fluid is an infrequent manifestation of multiple evanescent white dot syndrome. Systemic Steroid may shorten the recovery time and it can be used in selected patient for early visual recovery like that of our patient.
