Aim: To utilize Enhanced Depth Imaging (EDI) for evaluation & comparison of Choroidal Thickness (CT) of CSC patients (CSC & fellow eye) & age-matched control eyes. Materials & Methods: Observational cross sectional study includes 54 CSC eyes & their fellow eyes, aged 30-50 years. 54 normal age matched individuals imaged as controls. Inclusion Criteria: Acute onset (< 6weeks), BCVA > 20/40. Exclusion Criteria: H/O intake of steroids/OCP, previous intraocular surgery/injection, myopia >10D, glaucoma, uveitis, uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension, foveal pathology. Result: Mean age of 54 patients 38.6 ± 7.4 years, 54 control eyes 38.9 ± 8.8 years (P < 0.05). Mean subfoveal CT of CSC eyes 456.1 ± 68.4 μ, fellow eyes 347.2 ± 51.0 μ & control eyes 301.4 ± 41.7 μ (P < 0.001). Conclusion: CT is more in CSC eyes than fellow eyes & CT is more in fellow eyes compared to normal eyes. This reinforces that choroidal thickness is increased in both eyes of patients with CSC.
