Introduction-Since its introduction, continuous curvilinear capsulorrhexis has become the go to technique for anterior capsulotomy.The ideal size of the capsulorhexis opening is usually recommended as between 5.0 and 5.5 mm in diameter.Surgeons have traditionally sized anterior capsulotomies without using a reference.
Aim This study is undertaken at tertiary care hospital with a aim to study the Reproducibilty of the capsulorhexis size with the aid of Verion image guided system by alcon laboratories.Material and methods-It’s a prospective study in 55 eyes.one group with the use of image guided system and the other group with imaginary technique. Rhexis was measured intraoperatively with a marked calliper.Results and conclusions-In our study we found that CCC made with the help of image guided digital marker (VERION) was very precise and close to the target capsulorhexis diameter of 5 mm.when compared with the imaginary group it was found to be not statisticaly significant(p-0.848).
