Cortical blindness associated with denial of vision loss and confabulation is known as Anton’s syndrome. Cerebrovascular disease is the commonest cause. We report a case of an elderly male patient with bilateral occipital lobe infarct, who bumped into objects but refused to accept his blindness. After four weeks, there was significant but not complete recovery in his vision. At this stage patient began attributing his visual problems to spectacle intolerance. Possibility of cortical visual impairment should be kept in mind, in case of any atypical visual loss.
