Aim:To study IOP changes in eyes of patients with proven CCF.
Methods:Retrospective case series of patients with an established diagnosis of CCF in a tertiary care eye hospital.Data recorded included demographics, slit lamp examination, IOP, gonioscopy, optic nerve head evaluation, MRI, MRA & / DSA, visual fields and management.
Results:Of 85 eyes of 80 patients [mean age 45.5±16.6years] 52.3% had IOP≧22mmHg.Mean IOP was higher in eyes with CCF as compared to eyes without CCF[22.6±7.1 vs 15.05±3.3mm Hg;p<0.001], including eyes with IOP <22mmHg[16.9±2.8 vs14.2±2.8 mm Hg;p<.01].46.3% had ocular hypertension, 5% OAG and 2.5% NVG. Significant IOP reduction was noted after intervention[17.7± 5.0 mmHg vs 14.5±2.6 mmHg;p=.01] Conclusion:Significantly increased IOP was seen in more than half of the eyes with proven CCF, including eyes with IOP in the normal range compared to fellow normal eyes. A multidisciplinary approach including neuroradiological intervention helps in IOP reduction.
