To study change in vault of ICL with RT-vue ASOCT in different light conditions and define its relationship with change in pupillary diameter measured with ImageJ and ASOCT. 30 eyes of 15(Age 22.33±3.1 years) myopes, who underwent V4cICL implantation were enrolled. The vault measured with ASOCT in 3 light conditions: room light, scotopic and photopic condition, were 568.57±215.83 µm, 567.47±225.11µm and 418.4± 210.04 µm respectively. There was a significant decrease in vault in photopic condition. On regression analysis, in photopic condition for every 1mm decrease in pupil diameter on ImageJ and ASOCT there was decrease of 59.51µm and 56.19µm vault respectively.
Vaulting of ICL decreases consistently and significantly in photopic condition with a decrease in pupillary diameter; however, the scotopic condition has an inconsistent and lesser effect on vault. This could be because ICL always stays beneath the iris and iris has posterior pushing effect on ICL during constriction of pupil.
