Ocular trauma is one of the major cause of blindness in the country. These conditions are sight threatening and require emergent recognition and treatment to preserve vision. Patient’s expectations are unrealistic when they bear high
costs for these complex surgeries even after knowing the unpredictable outcomes. The course will focus on the presentation, pathogenesis and the management of the common manifestation of ocular trauma that may present to any ophthalmologist, comprehensive or subspecialist. The attendees will also
learn the pearls to safe guard themselves from any subsequent medico legal issues. The course will be a video based presentation where the tips and tricks of managing these cases will be discussed. At the conclusion of this course the attendees should be able to handle these trauma cases with greater ease and
confidence and understand mechanisms of pathology, provide emergent treatment and prepare the patients
