Trabeculectomy is the most common glaucoma surgery being performed and continues to be the gold standard globally. However, tissue handling and nuances during various steps of surgery along with 4 – 6 weeks of post-operative care make the difference between success and failure.
This video based course attempts to run the trabeculectomy surgery in slow motion, so that the participants can understand practical handling of various important steps starting from traction suture application till conjunctival suturing, bleb titration, correct technique of antifibrotic usage, ologen, releasable sutures, early diagnosis and management of fibrosis and management of longterm hypotony/blebitis/bleb leaks.
