Dr.Atul Kumar
This instruction course will highlight the all important disorders of the Macula which can be effectively managed and discuss simplified steps to surgically manage them. The course will open with an ‘Insight into Macular Imaging’ techniques including FFA, OCT, OCT-A, FAF imaging, Multifocal ERG ,Microperimetry and Adaptive Optics. The course will then highlight the all important real-life management for centre-involving DME followed by introduction of Vitreo-Macular Adhesions, (VMA), their surgical management versus use of Ocriplasmin which induces ‘Pharmacologic Vitreolysis’. Sub macular bleeds often occurs with CNV, PCV, and RAM and require urgent & effective management which will be presented.. Myopic Traction Maculopathy which includes Macular Myopic Foveoschisis & Myopic Macular Detachment will be highlighted as an entity common in pathologic myopes and requires surgery. Lastly effective use of ILM flaps for treating treating Macular Holes & ONH Pits will be presented.
