Diagnosis and management of corneal infections poses several challenges. The situation is further complicated by the lack of consensus on several key issues related to various aspects of management of this group of disorders.
In recent years there have been several issues that have either provoked controversies or generated new dilemmas on various aspects of management of corneal infections. Some of these controversial issues are: empirical v/s microbiology based management, use of in-vivo corneal imaging in the diagnosis and assessing response to treatment, use of corticosteroids and lamellar keratoplasty etc.
During this course we will present to the audience the evidences for and against these controversial issues. In addition, the audience will also be able to know the opinions of the panel of experts participating in the course.
Objective: The course will help participants make an informed decision on various issues presented during the course.
