Vision and the brain’s interpretation of visual information, are learned skills. Visual impairment in infants can cause developmental delays. This instruction course aims to help clinicians follow a protocolised plan of care while evaluating a child with abnormal visual behaviour by discussing vitreo-retinal pathologies. It aims at familiarizing the audience with concepts related to surgical management of complex vitreoretinal disorders viz ROP, FEVR, PHPV, JXLR, Retinoblastoma, Coats disease, Uveitides, and trauma, coming from well-experienced faculty.
The course is structured around video-based presentations followed by adequate time for a panel discussion and audience participation. Printouts supplementing information on each topic presented will be provided to members of the audience, on request. Faculty from top-rated tertiary care institution will present established guidelines for up-to-date management of pediatric retinal disorders. Each talk=8 minutes & 22 minutes discussion
