Primary Angle Closure Glaucoma is an important cause of blindness in our country. Patients often presents with significantly damaged optic discs and elevated IOP, which may or may not respond to medical treatment or to Laser PI. This inevitably leads to a situation where one begins to think of surgical management. Surgical Management is often a difficult decision in an eye with uncontrolled IOP. This course deals with how a patient of PACG presents to the clinic and the options that one needs to consider for the management. The faculty will describe the situations, in which it would be best to do a Laser PI, or do a trabeculectomy. Specific indications, when one should ideally opt for a primary trabeculectomy and cataract surgery or when one may only do a cataract surgery will be described with the surgical technique. These are difficulty situations that all of us have to deal with. In addition there will be case discussions and audience participation.
