Epiphora is a fairly common problem & can be extremely distressing at one end while at other end it can be root cause of devastating complications. A sizable number of lacrimal patients require surgeries.Unfortunately in modern era most ophthalmologists are reluctant to perform lacrimal surgeries, to the extent that now lacrimal surgeries are gradually been taken over by the rhinologist.
In our IC we intend to cover all the major lacrimal surgeries like- Paediatric syringing & Probing , External DCR , Endo nasal DCR , Canalicular trephination & stenting,Conjuctivo -DCR and Traumatic Canalicular repair in a step wise manner . Our IC would be essentially a surgical tutorial by our esteemed co instructors who have vast experience in the topic and lead the arena not only nationally but also internationally. Our main thrust will be on step by step learning, to facilitate that we have also kept interactive session with audience after each presentation for 3 minutes.
