Glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness and often needing surgery to prevent visual loss. Glaucoma Drainage Devices (GDD) are increasingly being used to control Intraocular pressure (IOP) in glaucoma patients. There are a number of GDDs available currently for clinical use. What are the best cases for GDD surgery, how to choose a GDD for a given patient and how to implant GDDs in normal and in complex situations like presence of scleral buckle or silicone oil ? In this instruction course we will show and discuss use of GDD in situations where usual glaucoma management including surgery has failed or is likely to fail.
