Component Corneal Replacement is the present state of art in Corneal Surgery, this video assisted course will help participants master principles of surgical technique and management of intraoperative complications in anterior and posterior lamellar keratoplasty like Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty, Endothelial Keratoplasty(EK).Emphasis will be placed on basic techniques that maximize surgical success and graft survival but also minimize complications. This course will also discuss case selection, preoperative work up and investigations for performing DALK,instruments required,surgical technique for baring the host Descemet membrane using the big bubble technique,management of intraoperative perforation,donor corneal preparation,suturing technique and Femtosecond Assisted Lamellar Keratoplasty In EK,methods of donor tissue preparation,insertion,unfolding and positioning will be discussed.Techniques to promote donor adhesion and to avoid primary graft failure will be emphasized.
