This video-based course will highlight the techniques of contemporary retinal reattachment surgery in challenging situations. Surgery for the management of retinal detachment (RD) with macular hole, RD in a high myope, RD with extensive viral retinitis, RD with retinoschisis, RD with severe endophthalmitis and complex detachments with advanced proliferative diabetic retinopathy will be demonstrated with surgical videos by national leaders in the subspecialty. Further, the role of scleral buckling versus vitreous surgery in a given situation, challenges of paediatric retinal reattachment surgery, use of surgical adjuncts including dyes & challenging case presentations will be discussed. Challenging case scenarios will be presented and discussed. Audience interaction will be encouraged with sufficient time allotted for same.
